Documentation and checks behind every order
Consultants and clients need a documented paper trail as much as the cable itself. Here is what typically accompanies an Electro Motion Plus order and how it is checked before it ships.
What comes with an order
Documentation prepared for technical submittal
The exact document set depends on the product and the project specification, but orders are typically supported by the following.
Factory test reports
Routine and type test results from the manufacturer for the specific batch or cable drum supplied, provided for consultant review.
Certificates of origin
Country-of-manufacture certification to support customs clearance and project traceability records.
Conformity documents
Manufacturer declarations that the product construction matches the referenced IEC, EN or client standard.
Technical datasheets
Construction details, dimensions and ratings for each product, prepared for tender and design review.
Before it ships
Inspection ahead of shipment
Material is checked against the order and its accompanying documents before it leaves the supplier, so what arrives on site matches what was quoted and approved.
Order verification
Quantities, sizes and constructions checked against the confirmed order before dispatch.
Document matching
Test reports and certificates cross-checked against the batch or drum being shipped, not a generic file.
Condition check
Packaging, drum marking and labelling reviewed so material is identifiable and protected in transit.
Standards sourced against
Products are sourced against IEC, EN or ITU specifications as called for by the project.
Electro Motion Plus sources products against IEC, EN and ITU specifications as required by each project. These are specifications we source against, not certifications held by Electro Motion Plus. Exact documentation available depends on the manufacturer and product; confirm requirements at enquiry stage.
